Chromium – Intro Spectre

Chromium- Intro Spectre
The Review:
I almost fell over when I heard that Chromium have only been together since December 2005. Their album “Intro Spectre” is an exceptional piece of work, displaying the qualities of a talented, brilliant band. This an album that flows from beginning to end with ease highlighted by a ‘dark’, personal journey into the problems plaguing an individual’s mind. It avoids being obviously morbid and defiant and instead leaves the journey to the subjective emotions of the listener, ground-breaking indeed!
Individually talented musicians bind together, creating a tight album which continually captivates the listener, even after repeated listens. Unusual timing sequences and fills, marked by impressive double-bass techniques become apparent as guitars and vocals craft the sound of Chromium into a plethora of emotions and sequences. Each bound together in way that only a talented producer and band could pull off. I eagerly anticipate their next album as this is a work of quality, one which is worth every penny. Buy it!
