Godskitchen and Urban Wave Team Up to Bring DJ Armin Van Buuren to South Africa

10 May 2009 10 Comments

Yep, it’s true! Armin Van Buuren will be performing in South Africa!

According to the Urban Wave website,

“Global dance brands Godskitchen and Urban Wave join forces to bring World No 1 DJ Armin van Buuren to South Africa for two mind blowing shows in June 2009. As if landing the World No 1 DJ wasn’t enough, Godskitchen have packed their Boombox concept which presents a completely unique architectural, multimedia, visual and music experience in South Africa for the first time.”

“Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ Top 100 poll twice in a row, an indication of his prolific output over the 10 years he’s been dj’ing and producing. Being the official World’s Most Popular DJ is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music.”

    Hi!
Jason van Wyk is the only South African producer to be played on Armin’s radio show and also to be included in his top 15. He lives in Cape Town and will be attending the show. Would it be possible to arrange for him to meet Armin?? You can find out more about Jason on his My Space or Google him.

Please let me know what you think??
    Regards
    Mandy van Wyk

    Hi Mandy,

That sounds interesting. I’m sure you could arrange it if you contacted the organisers. Drop by the Urban Wave website, find the contact details and give the organisers a shout. I’m sure they would love to hear from you! Good Luck!

This has been the best party I have ever been to in my life. My life could not have been more complete at that moment in time. My man invited me, we went together and had an awesome time.

I understand now why Armin is the world’s number 1 DJ.

He came and he concoured!!! The 2 hour stand in the line was absolutely worth it. The show was awsome and Armin’s set as well. He played new sounds and here and there some of his old sounds, but don’t get me wrong its not actually old because every time I listen to it, its like the first time. At some moments I got a tear or two for the sounds and my emotions colided. Armin is the God in his Kitchen!!!

Play on and just listen to what he’s playing and you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say its worth it to see him live.
