23 May 2009 5 Comments

This has to be one of the best CD covers i’ve seen in a long time.

So every now and then, you stumble across a CD cover which makes you go WOW! I stumbled across this album cover when putting together an article about The Vulcan Nerve Pinch looking for a new lead vocalist. There are so many great local album covers out there, that i’m inspired to put together a list, which I will post periodically.

So first up, Awesome Local CD Cover post #1 – The Vulcan Nerve Pinch: Frequently Used Shortcuts in Judging Others.

If you know of any awesome local CD covers, please drop a comment and let me know about it.

Wow! Thank you Music Review! However, all credit goes to M.J. Du Preez (Doktrine Ontwerp) for designing the album cover for us. Check out some of his other work at: http://www.myspace.com/doktrine

    Thanks again!

Jake – It’s an awesome album cover. One of the best CD covers i’ve seen in a long time.

Thanks for providing a link to Doktrine Ontwerp’s Myspace. Great to see artists and bands work together to come up with something like this. I wish more local bands would follow your guys’ example.

    Nice work!

Perhaps you can consider the PaperFoam CD & DVD trays for future projects…?

PaperFoam is an environmentally friendly packaging material derived from renewable resources (starch, cellulose and water).

Composed 100% of recycled and recyclable materials, the tray is 100% biodegradable and can be recycled as paper or composted to biodegrade.

The PaperFoam tray is acknowledged as the first successful environmentally friendly alternative to plastic – perfect for your tailor-made packaging needs. It is lightweight compared to the standard plastic alternatives, with a range of colours from which to choose…
