VoxSuperstar competition

JOSE CUERVO, in association with B# STUDIOS and BOON MUSIC, present 2009’s most interesting talent search, VoxSuperstar. Singers will compete for radio quality recordings…and have a lot of fun doing it.

We call on amateurs and band singers, from 13 years of age to adult, to challenge one another, every Sunday, between 3pm and 7pm, at the Keg & Lion in Kempton Park (8 Thistle Road, corner of C.R. Swart Drive).

There is a Junior and Adult category.

You will perform 2 songs, whether accapella or accompanied by your own guitar, or selected from the list provided and backed by a band on the night. Songs can be covers or originals. You may provide your own backing track.

Entrance is R120. Competition began on November 15 2009.

ADULT CATEGORY:
■ Winner receives a CD, a 5 track, international quality E.P. (R20 000)
■ Runner-up receives 1 track recording (R4000).
■ 2nd Runner-up receives 1 track recording (R4000).
■ Can choose to record with own band.
■ 20 singers can compete on night.
■ Fans get to become judges via drawn entries.
■ Prizes for the fans.
JUNIOR CATEGORY:
■ Winner receives a CD, a 3 track, international quality E.P. (R10 000)
