Top 10 Androgynous Musicians of All Time
How often do you find yourself looking at a musician and wondering if it’s a he or a she? We have a look at the top 10 gender ambiguous musicians.

10. Vince Neil (Mötley Crüe)
Neil looked so much like a girl that it even prompted Aerosmith to write a song about him – ‘Dude (Looks like a Lady)’. Nowadays though, Neil looks more like a blonde, long-haired version of Jon Lovitz.
9. David Bowie
Does the name Ziggy Stardust ring a bell?
8. Prince
With his high-pitch voice and peculiar taste in clothes, one could be fooled into thinking Prince may have opted for a quick snip and tuck.

7. Marilyn Manson
To his credit, he has toned down his image a lot lately, but who can forget the days of Mr Warner parading around in tight corsets, fishnet stockings and other bondage gear.
6. Levannah (Qkumba Zoo)
Levannah, from local dance group Qkumba Zoo, is a perfect example of how the punk scene helped transform gender conventions and introduce more androgynous figures into society.
5. C.C. DeVille (Poison)
The 80’s blessed us with many guys dressed as girls, but Poison’s C.C. DeVille was just a step above the rest – probably because of his platform heels.

4. Brian Molko (Placebo)
Have a look through Battle for the Sun’s sleeve and honestly tell me that you don’t think Molko looks like a soccer mom?
3. Lady Gaga
The million dollar question is: does she have a sausage and eggs or not? Frankly, I still maintain I saw a bulge in her(his?) pants during the ‘Poker Face’ video.
2. Bill Kaulitz (Tokio Hotel)
With his girly mannerisms and fascination to look like a cross between Lita Ford and Pete Wentz, the German rocker is a bit of a conundrum.

1. Boy George (Culture Club)
…and the winner of the “WTF is it” award goes to former Culture Club singer – Boy George!
Can you think of any other androgynous musicians? Please feel free to leave a comment below.

- The lead singer for Hanson/Hansen (?).

Haha funny story about the lead singer of Hanson – I used to think he was a hot chick *face-palm*
Davey did look a bit…ahem…different, but he’s cleaned up his look for the current Crash Love tour.
[...] Lady Gaga Although Lady Gaga is ranked within the Top 10 Androgynous Musicians of All Time , she can look damn hot in latex and all her songs are about sex anyways – “I wanna take a ride [...]
