Cape Town rockers, 12th Avenue, welcome new bassist, Brian Lee.

12th-Avenue2

Weeks ago, 12th Avenue began advertising auditions for an experienced bassist to join their band. The response was overwhelming and the calibre of musicians was inspiring, making the decision a tough one for the boys.

Brian Lee, established Cape Town Bassist, contacted the management team to set up an audition. Having toured with Brian a few years prior, 12th Avenue were excited and had high hopes for the jam session to follow.

After many rigorous auditions with many talented bassists, we are pleased to announce our new brother. “When he walked in the door, it felt like he had been playing in this band for years!” Mark Haze (Lead Singer and Guitarist) told press.

Bjorn Faree, 12th Avenue’s lead guitarist, simply said: “What can I say, the guy’s got skill!”

The band begins rehearsals next week in preparation for some local gigs showcasing their new line-up. The first of which will be held at Corner Bar in Durbanville, Cape Town on 24th February 2010 where these talented and passionate musicians will be supporting: Wake to Wonder & All Will Fall on their ‘Conquer the Horizon Tour 2010’. Entrance Fee is R30 and the evening guarantees to be unforgettable!
