From the outset, this concert has a very personal feel to it, Nirvana cracked jokes and made comments throughout the concert. Kurt Cobain even went as far as to make a personal shoutout to his wife and 12 day old daughter in hospital. Such brilliant stage presence and interaction!
In terms of performance, this concert is amazing! Furthermore, most of Nirvana’s popular tracks are performed on this DVD. However, each track is unique, as there is a good deal of improvisation, which is always a good thing.
At the end of the concert the instruments received the usual Nirvana instrument-destruction-treatment. Dave Grohl annihilated his drums and played Frisbee with the symbols. Kurt Cobain passed the two-colour sunburst strat he played into the crowd, I wonder if it made it out of the stadium? Haha!
As far as DVDs go, there is not much added content here (which isn’t great), all that is available is a song selection list. One important aspect, however, is that the DVD has been recreated in 5.1 surround sound which really is great!
All-in-all, this is a very impressive concert and a great watch. Furthermore, it definitely has replay value!
Best Tracks: ‘Tourette’s’, ‘In Bloom’ and ‘Territorial Pissings’.

I’m desperate to get my hands on this, definitely a seminal live performance.
Any idea if it’s available on Blu-ray?
@Vic: As far as I know it hasn’t been released on Blu-ray yet, only CD/DVD. However, a lot of fans have been asking for it, so I’d expect it in the near future
