Die Antwoord – The ‘Interwebs’ Smash Hit

15 February 2010 6 Comments

South Africa’s Die Antwoord achieves monumental success on the ‘interwebs’.

South Africa’s Die Antwoord, comprised of Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er, DJ HI-TEK, is the internet’s latest musical craze. Die Antwoord represent an incredibly innovative outfit of rap-comes-rave in what is self-described as ‘Zef’ rap.

Die Antwoord’s controversial lyrical content, in-your-face videos and white-trash persona has led this South African threesome to global success. With videos fast approaching a million views on YouTube, and a very popular Facebook group and Twitter profile, Die Antwoord is fast on its way to global domination. In fact, even Fred Durst has noted the brilliance of the Die Antwoord, mentioning on his twitter profile that he :

Woke up bumping @DieAntwoord – I can’t stop! I love it! So much flavor! Undeniable. If you don’t get it, you just miss out!

If you havn’t seen them yet, here are Die Antwoord’s two most popular videos, ‘Ninja’ and ‘Zef Side’
