12th Avenue have toured consistently over the past 8 years and now, through Hayden Music, have more gigs in the first quarter of 2010 than they had for the full year of 2009!

Mark Haze, lead vocalist and guitar, told press that: “The 12A team and I have seen an immediate turnaround since the introduction of our new management team.  We’ve seen a huge increase in fans over the last month simply just by actioning some really strong marketing.  No stone has been left unturned – social media, traditional press as well as good old fashioned word of mouth is being done.  We couldn’t be happier!!”

After taking a 6 month creative break to restructure and plan the future of the band, 12th Avenue are incredibly excited for what is to come.  New member of the band, Brian Lee, bassist and backing vocals, commented on his introduction to the band: “When I joined 12th Avenue a few weeks ago, I was welcomed like I was part of the family for years!  After the intense auditions were done and dusted, it has been a crazy roller coaster ride; fun, hard work and more fun. The management team is amazing, they really are not holding back and are keeping us on our toes, and we have an awesome year lined up.”

“In the short time we’ve been working with Hayden Music they have been on the ball. These guys know music and they mean business.” Said Bjorn Faree, lead guitarist and backing vocals.

The bands third Album “Sober” was released through Musketeer Records, who are also Seether’s distribution label in South Africa. 12th Avenue had the honour of supporting Seether on all the dates of their Homecoming SA Tour in June 2008, playing to over 20 000 people over 4 nights. They have also headlined at some of SA’s top live music venues, including Mercury Live and Lounge, CT; Tempos, JHB; Roxy Rhythm Bar, JHB; Burn, Durban; Zeplins, PTA; The Blues Room, JHB and many more.

Moving forward the band are actively pursuing sponsors, and are submitting to perform at festivals nationwide and regionally. Gareth Haze, drummer and backing vocalist shared his thoughts for the future: “With the help of our new management, 12th Avenue will be concentrating on being more than just a group of performers. We’re planning on interacting with our fans more regularly through various channels, such as online social networks, meet-and-greets and interactive competitions. With the business being handled efficiently by management, it helps us to get closer to our fans and make what we do more than just about music.”

Nicci Hayden commented on her future plans for the band: “With the talent that each band member possesses and the electrifying performances they deliver as a group, they should be touring the world by now. This is my goal for them, I will be working closely with each member, and the team as a whole will be driving every bit of energy into making them a success. Connecting with the fans, marketing and incredible music are a natural mixture to create a recipe for success. I believe in 12th Avenue! Watch this space…!”
