Evanescence Going Electro?

In a recent interview with RollingStone.com, Amy Lee had the following to say about her band’s new record:

“There’s a lot of stuff that doesn’t sound like Evanescence, but the heart of the band is still there. This is a really, really, rhythmically driven record. So there’s tons of drum-programming fused with live drums; drums we’re renting a day at a time, like Japanese taiko drums.”

She then went on to cite other influences such as Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Portishead, CSS, La Roux and MGMT.

Is anyone else thinking, “I want your love and I want your revenge, you and me could write a bad romance”, right about now? Yes? No? Oh, never mind.
