1. Lead vocalist/guitarist Brian Molko was born in Brussels, Belgium, but lived in Scotland, Luxemburg, Liberia, Lebanon and England throughout his youth.

2. Molko wrote much of the material for Battle for the Sun on a river boat moored in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

3. Despite having sold over one million albums in the UK and ten million worldwide, Placebo have not yet won a Grammy Award.
