MusicReview Welcomes Contributions From International Correspondent, Palmer Sturman

MusicReview welcomes Palmer Sturman.
Palmer Sturman – based just outside Washington, DC – has a fondness for Hardcore and the heavy. We are excited to welcome him aboard with his valuable contributions in terms of album reviews, feature articles and interviews.
We asked Palmer to put together a little bio about himself, here it is:
“My name is Palmer Sturman. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but I don’t remember much about it. I have lived all over the world and I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a lot more of it than most. I came back to the US when I was 7 and settled down outside Washington, DC.
I’ve always been attracted to hard rock. When ‘Load’ came out (by Metallica) it was pretty much my foot in the door to metal music. My father took me to my first true metal show when I was 12, back when Lamb of God was still called Burn the Priest. I saw them at a basement show in Richmond, Virginia – because they all went to Virginia Commonwealth University. After I heard Randy’s howling vocals I never looked back. Metal became part of my blood…
I’ve always been a musician; playing in the school band was always a great way to vent frustrations and I played practically every brass instrument there is. Senior year of high school, I started playing guitar, around the age of 17, and I haven’t stopped since. I’ve been playing for 6 years now and I love it. I’m easy going and I’m a student in college studying English and Journalism. In my free time I spend much time reading, guitar playing, and opinionated tech blogging. I’m also an avid diver, camper, and hiker.
My favorite bands are Tool, Opeth, and Between the Buried and Me. I hate cookie cutter metal – or any type of rehashed music – and I’ve been in a fist fight with Matt Heafy.”

Welcome to the whacky MusicReview team, Palmer!
Greetings!
Trivium without Travis Smith is like Metallica without Lars. Or Slipknot without Joey. and subsequent to Smith’s departure, Matt Heafy became the biggest dick around.
Anyone who has punched him is A-OK in my eyes! welcome aboard!
