What about Daniel Adair (Nickelback, 3 Doors Down)
2 deserving names missing:
John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) and Carter Beauford (DMB)
The fact that Danny Carey isn’t on this list makes it null and void.
Carter Beauford and Danney Carey… aye.
This list speaks lies.
Personally, I feel Slayer’s Dave Lombardo, Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee and the late Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan from Avenged Sevenfold should’ve gotten a mention.
damn, they left my name off the list! lol
I agree with Lethe, where is Carter Beauford?
And what about Brian McMackin?
But worst of all…
What about Scott Columbus from Manowar?
Surprised that Josh Freese only ranked 16th and that The Rev didn’t even make the list.
@Cat: John Bonham would be on here if he hadn’t passed away in 1980 or if it were still the year 2000.
If I had my way, he’d be number one on the Greatest Drummers of all time list.
No Lars?
Seriously? Lars?
No Gene Hoglan?
I’m assuming Joey Jordison is No.1 purely for the popularity of Slipknot. He can play fast, doesn’t make him the best. amazing drummers from lesser known bands don’t get a mention. Thats the problem with these lists, only reflective of what is popular.
Jean Paul Gaster from clutch should deffinitly be on here.
great drummers? how about hal blaine session drummer who played on just about every important 60′s 70′s record….played on almost all beach boy songs, mamas and the papas. byrds, simon and garfunkel, america, fifth dimension records including ‘age of aquarius’, the association(thats him playing on the great 1967 hit ‘windy’ etc…. don’t forget the great bill bruford, who’s drumming help make Yes one of the great classic rock bands ie check out ‘close to the edge….’fragile’ etc…how about jim gordan, another great session drummer, member of derek and the dominoes who not only plays drums on ‘layla’ but also the piano(double-tracked for all you morons out there) and how about a few kudos to ringo starr..his drumming was underrated, especially noteworthy is his drumming on the beatles final album abbey road….jim horn
Joey Jordison is an amazing drummer, but where the hell is Jimmy Sullivan on that list?!
He was one of the best drummers ever! This list is bull.
And Joey Jordison isn’t a drummer in the Murderdolls, he’s a guitarist.
yeah, i can’t be expected to take this seriously with Danny Carey not even on the list… let alone at the top of it.
i’d also personally include jimmy chamberlin on the list as well.
Obviously John Bonham, and SA’s Colin Jones of CTW who reminds me of John Bonham
