Prelude To June Hit The Rock Scene Hard With The Release Of Their Debut Album, My Blessing – My Curse

9 September 2010 No Comment

Hailing from the southern most tip of Africa, Prelude to June have been rocking since 2000, fusing the raw energetic and powerful riffs of old school along with atmospheric elements, the lure of modern rock and the in your face attitude of punk.

They’re ready to take their music to the next level with the release of their full length studio debut
‘My Blessing My Curse’ which is preceded by the brilliant rock anthem ‘Broken In Two’ – the first single from the album, which impacts radio stations across South Africa in September.

Prelude to June’s music continuously morphs from intense brutal moments into calm melodic moments. The exact emotions felt when caught between love and hate! Fists in the AIR!!

Their first Ep “Happy Family” was well received with playlistings on various radio stations across South Africa as well as exposure internationally via the internet. The band have also had television and media exposure nationally and shared the stage with many great South African bands whilst gigging extensively.

The bands debut album “My Blessing – My Curse” is now available NATION WIDE at Look & Listen stores as well as Musica mega stores and all good music stores.

It is available for purchase WORLD WIDE via
Itunes and Amazon.com

The bands debut music video “VAMPIRE” has been added to South African television station MK for daily rotation.

“Vocalist/guitarist Ashley Lane doesn’t shy away from singing melodies that add authentic character to the songs instead of singing through the regular Pro-tools plug-in. You can’t help but find a place in your heart for Prelude to June.” MusicReview

Prelude To June is:
- Ashley Mark Lane (guitars and vocals)
- Brett Strange (drums)
- Stefan Nel (bass)
- Tjaart van der Walt (guitars)
