Submission Guidelines

MusicReview welcomes digital and hard copy submissions for review consideration. News submissions are also welcome.

News submissions:

Submit news items to info@musicreview.co.za.

Please note that we are under no obligation to publish every single news item that we receive. What we publish will remain in our sole and absolute discretion.

Do NOT just send links, or attach event flyers without any text. If you do so, we will not consider your submission.

News submissions must be professional, neat, easily readable, and embedded in the actual email or a Word document.

Please do not continuously mail us for your news item to be posted. If you want guaranteed coverage and prime positioning, we do have options. Please see here.

Digital submissions:

Please include the prefix “Digital Submission Request” in your email subject line.

Send the download link to info@musicreview.co.za.

Please make sure that your track listing, track titles and image of album cover are all present in the download file. If not, we will not consider your submission.

Do NOT send us multiple links to download fragments of the album. If you do so, we will not even consider your submission.

Do NOT mail us your entire album via email.

If you do send us hard copies, we do not accept any responsibility for any losses or damages of whatsoever nature which could arise.

We welcome all news about your endeavours, but we do not review singles, demos or videos. Those items fall under our general news category.

1.  The owners, administrators, writers, employees, representatives and users of MusicReview are not liable or responsible for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature, howsoever arising, as a direct or indirect result of any information, content or usage of this website.

2.  We do not guarantee the publication of reviews, interviews and news items (for guaranteed publication, please see here).  The decision to publish or remove a post shall remain in our sole and absolute discretion.

3.  Whilst we welcome the submission of material for review and other consideration, we do not review demos, EPs, videos or single song submissions.

4.  Once an article is published, no changes will be made to it – unless there are factual errors; sponsored links require inclusion; or if we determine to do so in our sole and absolute discretion.

5.  MusicReview is under no obligation to publish outgoing links.  If you require an outward link, please see here for sponsored link options.

6.  Reviews reflect the opinion of the particular author and may carry a negative rating or perspective.  No disputes will be entered into after the publication of a review.
