Collapse the Silence
We are ‘Collapse the Silence, this is our band.
We play the music we want to hear, it was our goal to play something that made us happy and made us proud. We are not focusing on trying to be terribly unique or new. Each song is simply written because it’s something we want to listen to.
Collapse the Silence was born in November 2008, our music, our style, our passion. CTS had a good year in 2009 but not without a few setbacks. We recorded 2 singles with Inner Flames studio’s “Where it ends” and then “Nowhere to run”. We are still waiting to receive the last song from the studio. We lost our original drummer, Darrin Dean, and soon after his temporary replacement ,Shawn Lawson. In December 2009, Ruaol van Niekerk joined us and Collapse the Silence was complete again, and sounding stronger than ever.
We wanted to have a positive message and feel to the music without losing the ‘heaviness’ of our style. We have all concentrated on making sure that the message we deliver to anyone listening is positive. We wanted to be a symbol of hope!
This is our story. This is our message.
Never give up, never surrender, always believe in yourself, there is always hope. The strength that is within each one of us, is stronger than any outside circumstance. You are untouchable!!
