Only Forever

Biography:

Only Forever – formed in September 2007, comprising of musicians from a long list of previous projects, decided to get together to live out their passion for music and finally write the music they wanted to write. Not taking influence from the local music scene, Only Forever is not prepared to be limited by any genre of music.

The music is a perfect balance between melody and feeling. Lyrically focusing on issues that, audiences can relate to, Only Forever prides itself on originality and energetic live shows.

Only Forever has played various shows and headlined some big festivals. Only Forever has also been featured in a few magazines, such as People, Strum and Locally Whipped, where they have enjoyed great feedback. Only Forever’s album launch received a rave review in the Roodepoort Record and has been mentioned in many local newspapers.

Only Forever is on the verge of releasing a music video soon. The sounds of ‘Bitter Goodbyes’ will be met by the visuals of a zombie apocalypse. You will be able to catch the music video on MK, MySpace and Facebook.

The sky’s the limit for Only Forever, experimenting with new sounds.

Band Members:

Fern: Fern started singing at the tender age of 10 years, where he sung in many school and regional choirs in South Africa. Fern has a lot of energy on and off stage; he has played numerous shows in the past, and is truly a great performer. Fern’s melodic vocal technique will touch your soul and your heart.
“Singing in this band, is about loving and feeling what I do.”

Nick: Feeling the beat and putting extra low melodic bass to it, is what gives the songs a different vibe. Nick has been in the music industry for an extensive period of time, mastering his technique. A dedicated and driven person when it comes to his music. A very quiet person off stage, but when he is performing that is when his professionalism reigns supreme. His bass lines will literally blow your mind!

Jakes: Inspired by his father, Jakes started music when his dad unfortunately passed away. A real dedicated musician, who is talented, focused and energetic on stage, Jakes delivers a great live performance. Jakes has worked hard in the music industry opening for huge international acts. He has also graced the stages of many major festivals, including Woodstock and Splashy Fen.

Jay: A drummer with heart and soul. The audience enjoys his extraordinary beats and his well executed live performance. Jay is an energetic drummer and thrives on delivering an awesome live performance with real tight drum beats.
