The Pixie Bennett Band

The Pixie Bennett Band formed in Jan 2008 with Members Pixie Bennett, Garth and Rob Warren.

In their early days they performed a set at the KZN festival Splashy Fenn (Again gracing the Splashy stage in 2009 )and then went on to work the Durban music scene. In September 2008 they performed at the White Mountain Folk Festival and a few months later the band welcomed new members Steve Murray and Andrew Makins (formerly Stealing LoveJones), while Rob set off to follow a solo career in music.

Pixie has performed in countries such as Ibiza, Turkey, Italy, Malawi and the UK, as a club dancer and singer. She entered into SA Idols, making it to the top 7 in 2009. After falling out of the show the band have been in huge demand, playing with Top SA bands Prime Circle, Zebra and Giraffe, Aking at the Mr Price Pro Ballito, Performing at the Durban Vodacom July, Opening for top SA R&B artist Loyiso, and entertaining at many corporate events.

The Band have also shared the stage with International Rapper Busta Rhymes, local band Wonderboom and DJ Ready D.

The Pixie Bennett Band recorded their new EP album at Sesalos Studios, produced by John Ellis from Tree 63. Their Single “So Spun” is experiencing great success on the SA Charts and further singles off the album are sure to follow radio play. The Pixie Bennett Band are sponsored by MR PRICE who powered thier first nationwide South Africa tour which they completed in September 2009.
